How to Listen to WWL Radio
Whether you are on a ward at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, visiting another Trust site, or tuning in from home, WWL Radio is always close at hand. Here are the easiest ways to listen.
Royal Albert Edward Infirmary
Beds on the wards in The Royal Albert Edward Infirmary are provided with a TV, radio and telephone system from Hospedia. It is free to listen to the radio services, and WWL Radio is available on channel 1. Use the handset to select channel 1 for Hospital Radio.
Guide to using Hospedia
Follow the on-screen prompts to choose radio, then select channel 1. We recommend using headphones for the best listening experience and to avoid disturbing other patients.
Hospedia handsets provide free access to Hospital Radio on channel 1 at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary.
Listen online
On each page of our website you will find a play button at the bottom. You may also see the album art of the current track being played. Clicking the play icon will start streaming WWL Radio instantly.
You can also listen to WWL Radio via Alexa—just say, “Play WWL Radio.”
Tips for smooth streaming
- • Keep the browser tab open while you listen.
- • Adjust the volume slider beneath the player to suit your surroundings.
- • If playback stops, tap the play icon again to reconnect.
- • Add us to your Alexa flash briefing for quick access.
Other Trust locations
Unfortunately Hospedia is not available at the other Trust sites. Anyone wanting to listen to Hospital Radio at the moment will need to tune in online, which you can do by pressing "Listen Now" at the top of this website.
